नमस्ते 🙏 I'm a backend engineer from Nepal, based in Plano, Texas
I build event-driven systems
Five years of shipping backend systems for healthcare and enterprise teams in Kathmandu, then a master's in the US focused on distributed systems and machine learning. Now at Bank of America.
Experience
My career as a commit history, newest first. Degrees are branches that merged back into my work.
Application Programmer III · Plano, Texas
Building and modernizing backend services in Java and Spring Boot.
MS, Computer Information Science
Merged branch ms-usd into main: distributed systems, reinforcement learning, computer vision, pattern recognition and information retrieval.
Full Stack Developer · Kathmandu
Software Developer · Kathmandu
B.E., Electronics & Communication · Tribhuvan University
Merged branch be-ioe: data structures, algorithms, databases, operating systems and networks.
Projects
Things I have designed and built end to end: microservices, AI assistants, full-stack apps and one very Nepali board game. Every card links to the code.
E-commerce platform · Java
An Amazon-style shop built as event-driven microservices: auth, catalog, cart, pricing, orders, inventory, payments, reviews and notifications behind a Spring Cloud Gateway, with orders flowing through Kafka events.
Legal AI · RAG
A self-hosted legal assistant for Nepal's constitution and laws. Upload PDFs, ask in Nepali or English, and get answers grounded in the documents with page citations, running fully on a local LLM.
Full-stack news portal
A complete news platform with an admin CMS, rich-text articles, categories, comments, Google and JWT sign-in, live chat over SignalR, and Nepali date support.
Audiobook creator · PWA
Turns poetry and books into narrated audiobooks: upload a PDF, record a voiceover for each page in the browser, and share a synced reading experience.
Reinforcement learning
Agents for Nepal's tigers-and-goats game trained through self-play with Q-Learning, SARSA, Expected SARSA and a PyTorch DQN.
Also built during my master's
